Comfortable bed and room. The host was friendly it was quiet and really sweet decorations. The breakfast was very basic, they could have provided eggs or porridge. There are beautiful beaches nearby 10 minute drive. Parking all along the road so that wasn't an issue. A few places to eat dinner too. View from our room was really lovely.
What a beautiful guesthouse. Wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was beautiful, beds were comfy and the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory. Heather was away, but Donald was the perfect host. The lady helping with breakfast was friendly and pleasant...sorry we didn't get her name. Highly recommend this beautiful accommodation. We had a couple of days there in November. Absolutely spotless, very special ambience with lots of little extras. Loved the little whiskey decanter on the coffee tray, hot water bottle and so much more. Continental breakfast with so much delicious choice. Really hope to go back.
This is a gem of a place. We arrived late at night after a difficult train journey. We received a warm welcome and immediately felt relaxed and at home. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, exceptionally comfortable and perfectly clean. Breakfast was great and the location is amazing. There are wonderful views across the bay and there is easy access to the town and local walks.
Our stay at the guesthouse was wonderful! Heather was very communicative and friendly. The house was cute and located close to resturants for dinner as well as the ferry to Skye. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the continental breakfast was delicious.
We recently stayed at The Moorings Guesthouse in Mallaig and had a pleasant experience. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, and the guesthouse is beautifully located by the harbor. The bed was on the softer side, which some may find quite comfortable, and the cozy communal room with a view of the harbor was a lovely feature. Breakfast offered a good variety with fresh tea and coffee. Additionally, the room included tea, biscuits, and even a small whisky to sample, which was a nice touch. Overall, a charming and welcoming stay!
Really lovely guest house right near the station in Mallaig - Heather was very prompt, helpful and friendly, the room was very comfortable and clean, and breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again!
My wife and I stayed due to location of the ferry terminal. What a great find. Lovely welcome by Heather, with excellent facilities and some really nice touches (whiskey in the room was lovely). Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and staff were really nice. We'd thoroughly recommend The Moorings.
